Frequently asked questions
What intervals can I create?
Active and rest phases can each run for up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds. Rest can be disabled completely. Choose up to 99 rounds or use Endless Mode without a fixed round count.
How do presets work?
Save active time, rest time, and rounds under a custom name and icon. Mark favorites, organize presets into custom icon-based categories, reorder them, or swipe to start.
Can I start presets from the Android home screen?
Yes. Long-press the app icon to launch up to three chosen presets, or add a widget for one preset, your favorites, or a category. Widgets follow light and dark mode.
Can Loop run in the background?
Yes. Loop explains why notification access is useful before asking. The ongoing notification shows the timer and lets you pause, resume, or adjust it by ten seconds. If Android stops it, check notification permission and battery restrictions.
How do I use Picture-in-Picture?
Enable Picture-in-Picture in Loop's settings and allow it in Android if prompted. During a running timer, the compact view can remain visible above other apps with the current phase, time, progress, and round.
What can I control during a running Loop?
Pause or resume at any time, add or skip ten seconds, and end with a deliberate swipe. Afterward, Loop summarizes total time, active time, and completed rounds.
How do I change sounds and vibrations?
Open Settings to control sound and haptic signals separately. You can also choose whether the display should remain awake during a session.
What can I customize?
Choose between a progress ring, tick marks, and an animated wave. Loop also offers system, light, and dark themes, ten preset accent colors, a custom color picker, and five app icons.
Which languages are available?
Loop supports English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, and Indonesian. It follows the device language automatically and uses English as the fallback.
Where is my data stored?
Timer settings, presets, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Loop has no accounts or cloud synchronization, and its core timer features work offline. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I reset Loop or view the introduction again?
Open Settings to preview How Loop works at any time. Reset local data deletes all presets, restores every setting including the app icon, and shows the introduction again the next time Loop opens.
How do I report a bug?
Use Report a problem in Loop or on this page. The in-app draft adds the Loop and Android versions automatically, and you can review or edit everything before sending it.
